Hansa Yellow Deep: With a hint of orange, this is a pure Chroma color with high-toned, semi-transparent organic pigments. considered the "perfect yellow," a fact that offers more control when blending. Mayan Orange: Hot and intense! For a vibrant red-orange, use it straight from the tube. When you add water, the color stays bold and spreads very evenly. Ultramarine Blue: Intense, pure, and subtly granulating, it stands proudly on its own as pure blue, with no gradation into another color. Cobalt Blue: Power with every drop. Cobalt Blue is a neutral, non-staining primary blue that subtly alters most pigments. Because it's considered a "blending pigment," its transparent nature allows it to cast a huge net shadow. Viridian: This transparent, non-staining pigment is an excellent glazing pigment. It's a cool blue-green that's great for blending without staining other pigment particles and for soft edges. Yellow Ochre: Is a stunning shade of gold, bright and clean, yet true to its earthy nature. It doesn't stain, lifts easily to create highlights, and has a predictable soft grain when washed - Alvaro. Burnt Sienna Light: A beautiful, sheer shade. It's permanent, has power, and breaks down Ultramarine Blue perfectly. Burnt Sienna Light is great when you want to place cool colors on top. I use it when I go into my darks, where I wear it in Ultramarine Blue (included in the set) or Alizarin Crimson to create great darks - Alvaro. Neutral Tint: I use the Neutral Tint because it greys any shade quickly, allowing me to go straight into my bold dark shades while maintaining the original color saturation. By itself, Neutral Tint is nothing special, but once you mix it with a neighboring shade, you get a rich, more active, and interesting color - Alvaro. Deep Scarlet: Deep Scarlet is a powerful shade and is perfect for base coats when painting cool gray shadows. I apply a layer of Deep Scarlet and then once it's dry I apply cool washes over it to make the shadows glow! When mixed with Neutral Tint it gives a very juicy colour that allows me to move on to my dark shades very quickly - Alvaro. Pyrrole Red: Cleaner than cadmium or permanent red, this fire engine red is a modern synthetic-organic pigment that, while similar in value to its cousins, the perylenes, spreads more evenly and is less grainy.
