Product information "Holbein Artists Watercolours"

Holbein Watercolour is a transparent European style watercolour, but also allows the brushwork inherent in traditional Japanese watercolour techniques. Without ox gall or other dispersants, it is slow to apply, allowing greater colour density and brushwork. It is a range of colours with a uniform, creamy texture that remains smooth when dry without breaking, crumbling, flaking or moulding in the palette. It can be re-wetted effortlessly like a pan colour.

For this reason, Holbein does not produce watercolours in pan form, but allows artists to make their own selections.

Load the compartments of a suitable palette with the desired selection of colours. Allow the paint to dry and moisten if necessary.

Holbein watercolours produce brilliant transparent glazes as well as powerful, clean darks when used in more concentrated applications. Holbein Watercolor is designed to exceed the quality standards of North American and European manufacturers and is preferred worldwide for its handling characteristics. Holbein Watercolor is considered to be among the finest in the world.

Holbein Artist Watercolor is available in two formats, in tubes (5 ml and 15 ml) or in a limited selection of half pans.

Tolle Farben
