The Vallejo pigments, a selection of natural earth pigments and synthetic pigments, have been chosen for their durability, their excellent lightfastness and the particularly fine grinding of their particles, which facilitates the mixtures and their application on models and dioramas. The range of pigments includes a series of colours selected to represent the wear and erosion caused by the harsh conditions of use and exposure on vehicles and buildings, to reproduce the dust on the tank tracks, the rust on the armour and the wide range of effects caused by the climate and geographical conditions of use.
The pigments can be applied in dry form directly to the model with the brush as they adhere very well; they can also be fixed with thinner if used to represent dry mud or accumulated dust. With Pigment Binder, the pigments can be used to create volume, such as accumulated dirt and mud. The painting tools are cleaned with water.
