Processing instructions
- Varnish remover has a stronger dissolving effect on varnish layers than turpentine oil 50024/50102 or turpentine substitute 50019.
- Usual Usage: Apply the product to a small area with a non-fluffy, soft cloth. Dissolve varnish by slight (!) Circular movements and carefully remove. (Attention: The product should stay on the picture surface only briefly if possible.) Caution with impasto work: Too strong rubbing could damage the surface mechanically!)
- The product also dissolves to certain resinous stains of oil and tempera painting. Please make absolutely sure that during the cleaning no upper layers of color soften or become dissolved!
- It is essential to test the product before the actual application in a location that is not directly visible, e.g. at the painting edges in the fold area of the decorative frame.
- Especially with valuable pictures, we recommend that the varnish acceptance be carried out exclusively by a knowledgeable restorer!
- Close containers immediately after use.
- Store cool and dry.
- Individual pre-tests are recommended.
