For all acrylic paints and acrylic mediums Similar to Liquitex Slow-Dri Fluid Retarder except in thick gel consistency (Heavy Body). Designed for use with Liquitex Heavy Body Artist Color and Heavy Body mediums. Can also be used with Liquitex Soft Body Artist Color and Soft Body mediums, however the thickness of the acrylic paints or mediums will increase. Archive Increases mixing time
Directions
Do not mix more than 25% by volume in paint and mediums, otherwise the paint may not dry completely, adhere poorly and shrink excessively.
Application
Liquitex paint additives are similar to acrylic mediums in that they are mixed into acrylic paint and mediums to alter consistency, thickness, transparency, gloss, drying time and absorption rate. However, they differ in that they do not contain an acrylic polymer emulsion and therefore do not have inherent binding properties. Only limited amounts (typically up to 25%) of an additive can be added to the paint before the paint film is damaged.
