Retouching varnish AEROSPRAY
Based on white spirit 50418
Intermediate varnish for oil painting. The product is glossy, colorless, non-yellowing and quick-drying. It also does not dissolve freshly dried oil paints. It can be worked over directly with a final varnish based on white spirit. The dried varnish layer remains soluble in turpentine substitute (50019).
Processing instructions
Ideal for temporarily protecting unfinished oil paintings; evens out "beaten", i.e. matt and binder-poor areas; also gives tempera underpaintings a character similar to oil paints.
Shake the can vigorously before use and spray crosswise at room temperature from a distance of 30 to 40 cm onto the vertical or slightly inclined object. (Make sure to change the spray direction outside the object!)
Only apply to the well-dried surface of the picture – after 4 weeks at the earliest.
The dried varnish layer remains soluble in turpentine substitute (50019), but can be painted over with oil paints or worked over with a final varnish based on white spirit.
Clean any sticky spray heads with acetone.
Store in a cool, dry place.
Protect the pressure can from sunlight and temperatures above 50 °C.
Individual preliminary tests are recommended.

Extremely flammable aerosol. Container is under pressure: may burst if heated. Causes serious eye irritation. May irritate the respiratory tract. May cause drowsiness and dizziness. Safety information Keep out of the reach of children. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other sources of ignition. Do not smoke. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not breathe aerosol. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove any contact lenses if possible. Continue rinsing.
If you feel unwell, call a POISON CENTER.
Protect from sunlight.
Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C/122°F.
Insufficient ventilation and/or use may cause formation of explosive/highly flammable mixtures.
Other hazards Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking.
