As the all-rounder of the Montana PRIMER range, the UNIVERSAL PRIMER is the primer for those who only need one primer for different surfaces. The Montana UNIVERSAL PRIMER is ideal for sealing and preparing surfaces for the efficient application of further coats of paint. The UNIVERSAL PRIMER supports adhesion, maximizes the coverage of further coatings, seals porous surfaces and protects against the effects of weather.
The Montana PRIMER ALUMINIUM T2450 creates a neutral surface on aluminum in preparation for further coating with acrylic, NC (Nitro-Combi) or synthetic paints. The ALUMINIUM PRIMER has a light gray color with a matt surface.
The Montana METAL PRIMER is the perfect tool for priming metal surfaces. With antioxidant properties that help prevent the appearance of rust. The METAL PRIMER has a matt surface and creates the best possible adhesion and protection for further coatings with the Montana GOLD, Montana BLACK or Montana WHITE colors. The METAL PRIMER also offers additional protection against scratches and dents.
Montana PLASTIC PRIMER. The new Montana primers have been developed for solvent-sensitive and highly absorbent substrates. They also ensure excellent paint application with synthetic nitro or acrylic paints on these.
The Montana POLYSTYRENE PRIMER is the perfect tool for priming and coating on polystyrene and Styrofoam-based materials. The POLYSTYRENE PRIMER supports adhesion, maximizes the coverage of further coatings, seals porous surfaces and resists the movement of further solvent-based coatings when all surface holes are covered.
The Montana PRIMERs were specially developed for combination with Montana GOLD, the individual primers are tailored to the specific needs of the respective substrates. The PRIMERs are easy to apply, sand or paint over. The primers bond to both the substrate and the paint, which leads to a good hold of the paint. In general, the primers increase the longevity of paints and varnishes. Can be used indoors and outdoors.

Application instructions:
Apply primer in several thin layers and allow each layer to dry for approx. 3-4 minutes before applying the next layer. The bottom layer should not be completely dry to improve the adhesion of the new layer. Additional layers can require a drying time of up to 24 hours. Test primers in an inconspicuous area beforehand to test the reaction with varnish or paint.
