New Masters® Classic Acrylics from Old Holland In 1998, Old Holland chemists began the first research work on a range of classic acrylic paints and mediums.

"The main criteria were set as follows.
1. The range should complement the existing oil and watercolour ranges and be a unique blend of the best traditional colours reflecting the heritage of Old Holland dating back to 1664, but also with the finest pigments resulting from new technologies that underline a constant search for new and exciting colours to broaden the artist's palette.
2. All pigments used must be lightfast to ASTM 1 and 2 or BWS 7+ standards.
3. In keeping with the Old Holland tradition, each colour must be formulated with the greatest possible pigmentation in the binder system.
4. Old Holland Classic Acrylics must be formulated free of extenders or fillers of any kind.
5. 100% pure acrylic resin must be the backbone of the binder system to achieve excellent adhesion, colour
