Synthetic resin varnish with UV protection
Final varnish with UV protection for various painting techniques, such as oil, acrylic and gouache painting, but also for inkjet prints, art prints or photos. Depending on the product, the final varnish is glossy (50590), satin matt (50592) or matt (50594), as well as colorless, elastic, non-yellowing and age-resistant as well as quick-drying.
Processing instructions
Shake the can vigorously before use and spray crosswise at room temperature from a distance of 30 to 40 cm onto the vertical or slightly inclined object. (Make sure to change the spray direction outside the object!)
Only apply to the completely dry surface of the picture (drying time for oil paints: at least 8 to 12 months; drying time for thinly applied acrylic paints: approx. 3 days, for pasty applied approx. 1 to 2 weeks; drying time for gouache paints: approx. 1 day)
The dried varnish layer remains soluble for a long time in turpentine substitute (50019) or varnish remover (50060).
The usual layer thickness of the varnish has no significant influence on the UV resistance of the paint layer. We therefore strongly recommend working with high-quality, lightfast artist's paints right from the start.
Varnishing a picture surface leads to a significant deepening of the color tone, especially with painting techniques that use little binder, such as pastel, gouache and watercolor. This can also make some painting surfaces, such as paper, more transparent.
The product is also suitable for inkjet prints, art prints or photos. Clean any sticky spray heads with acetone. Store in a cool, dry place. Protect the pressure can from sunlight and temperatures above 50 °C. Individual preliminary tests are recommended.
Ingredients: Propane/butane, acrylic resin, UV absorber, white spirit, 50592 and 50594 also contain matting agents.
